Imperial Consultants, based at Imperial College London, works to leverage the university’s expertise to provide solutions for industry, government, and the third sector. A core part of their mission is sharing knowledge, ensuring that Imperial’s research has a real-world impact.
In late 2023, Imperial Consultants were asked by their client, GE Healthcare, to deliver a series of virtual events aimed at bringing together healthcare professionals and clinicians in Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine. With our wide experience in virtual event production in the medical sector, we were selected as the partner for this project.
The project involved producing a series of four multidisciplinary team (MDT) educational webinars. MDTs bring together healthcare professionals from various fields to collaborate on patient treatment plans. This series focused on Fetal Medicine, incorporating discussions around the use of GE Healthcare technology in the field.
The webinars featured a panel of international experts from the UK, Qatar, South Africa, and the Netherlands, each exploring a key topic through real-life patient case studies, interviews, Q&A sessions and panel discussion. To maximise global participation, the events were scheduled in the evenings (UK time).
At BeThere Global, we recognise that successful virtual events require more than technical execution – they need careful planning, smooth delivery, and consistent engagement. For this series, we developed a branded web portal where participants could register and access all four webinars, both live and on-demand after the events.
To maintain engagement across the quarterly series, we implemented reminder email campaigns to keep registrants informed about upcoming sessions. Key presentations were pre-recorded and carefully edited to ensure a polished and professional delivery.
During each live event, our technical team combined pre-recorded segments with live content, using the latest vision mixing and streaming technology to deliver a high-quality experience. Within an hour of each webinar’s conclusion, we ensured that the recordings were available on demand. We also supplied Imperial Consultants with edited and captioned videos for future use.
This series of webinars was about more than sharing knowledge – it aimed to build an engaged community of professionals committed to advancing Fetal Medicine, while simultaneously show-casing GE Healthcare technology. We were pleased to deliver this content to over 1,300 participants, with on-demand access now reaching more than 3,900 in more than 60 countries.
The success of this project highlights the value of well-produced virtual events in disseminating knowledge and fostering collaboration. At BeThere Global, we take pride in helping clients achieve meaningful outcomes through expertly delivered events.
